It's not uncommon at all. I guess it was a quick and easy way to get a sizable wooden frame building which could be moved and then modified for reuse. Lots of residences, farm storage buildings, municipal buildings and museums.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18357233017602808846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8131194240762356738.post-89388430883858187022015-11-21T12:38:13.093-05:002015-11-21T12:38:13.093-05:00An explanation of the "LSC badge" in the...An explanation of the "LSC badge" in the 6th pix is that the city of Shelbyville put these on buildings in the 70s to honor then being over 50 years old. So, the many buildings here that have them would now be approximately 100 years or older.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8131194240762356738.post-10337225719790411932015-02-01T22:45:04.313-05:002015-02-01T22:45:04.313-05:00Very nice train station saved by a family of Shelb...Very nice train station saved by a family of Shelbyville Ky . This family were customers of the Louisville firm I worked for and they had a gift shop and sold our pottery ware. I knew them both to be of the finest reputation and loved the train station and Shelbyville . Where it is located is not as important as it is standing in very good shape and not a pile of rubble .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
