The abandoned Zoom Floom Waterpark - Bloomington, Indiana

The abandoned Zoom Floom waterpark is located near Bloomington, Indiana on Lake Monroe.  The park was once a popular summer destination for families around the area, but was later closed down to safety concerns and the high cost of insurance.  The big concrete water slide is still dug into a hill near Lake Monroe, and has now become a popular destination for local graffiti artists.

The remains of a shack at the very top of the waterslide slide is the only building still standing on the property.
The very top of the waterslide.  The pictures below proceed in the order if one was to ride the slide down the hill.

The slide ends in this shallow pool at the bottom of the park.

    1. Wow, thank you for the photos. Its always a shame to see something like this happen. Kentucky Kingdom, in Louisville, seems to be going through a similar process....

      thank you for the link.

  2. I LOVED flying down that thing! I was upset when it closed. The HYDROSLIDE over near Fairfax was another great concrete water slide too. It actually had steeper turns than the Zoom Floom lol! It closed just a little before the Zoom Floom -same reasons.
